Princess Muna Al-Hussein receives a delegation from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Her Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein, President of the Jordanian Nursing Council, received a delegation from the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Her Highness stressed the importance of strengthening professional relations between the two sides to serve humanity, promote and raise the status of nursing and health services, support this process and transfer Jordanian expertise to the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
In turn, the members of the delegation emphasized that Jordan is a model in providing health services, and its health sector is characterized by a specialized and advanced infrastructure, pointing to the region's endeavor to benefit from the Jordanian experience.
This came during an official visit of a health delegation from the region to Jordan, which lasted for five days, in coordination with the Jordanian Nursing Council, with the aim of reviewing health services in the Kingdom, and transferring the Jordanian experience in the health and nursing sector to the region.
The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Nursing Council, Dr. Hani Al-Nawafleh, said that during the visit, issues and plans to transfer the Jordanian experience to the region in the future were discussed, indicating that there are a number of measures to activate participation between the two sides during the coming period.
He added that Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein stressed the necessity of facilitating the mission of the delegation of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, transferring the Jordanian experience to the region, meeting their needs, achieving patient service and enhancing the capabilities of the various health professions.
The head of the Health Professions Syndicate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Abdul Jabbar Rahim, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the Nursing Council has coordinated visits and meetings with several institutions to review the infrastructure and legislation of the health professions, especially the nursing profession scientifically and professionally.
He pointed out that the region is seeking to send its health cadres who hold a diploma for bridging in cooperation with Jordanian universities, sending its nursing and medical cadres for training purposes, accrediting hospitals in the region by the Health Institutions Accreditation Commission, and accrediting specialties in coordination with the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission affiliated to the Ministry of Health. Higher education and scientific research, accreditation of the Jordanian board, and creating conditions for sending patients to Jordanian hospitals.
For her part, the head of the Supreme Council for Medical Specializations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Dr. Arianna Khalis Jawad, said that the region's approach aims to benefit from the prestigious level that the Jordanian health system has reached.
She added that the Council seeks to develop nursing and health cadres in the region, and to provide them with Jordanian expertise and experience, stressing the need to develop legislation, regulations and instructions governing medical professions in the region to keep pace with developments and developments in the world.
In turn, the Director General of the Ministry of Health for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Moaf Abdullah Karim, said that the visit was successful by all standards, praising the Kingdom's efforts to continuously develop medical professions and infrastructure.
He stressed the need to benefit from the Jordanian experience and transfer it to the region, and to benefit from Jordanian laws, regulations and instructions.
In his turn, Issa Khano Taher, Vice President of the Health Professions Union in Iraqi Kurdistan, said that Jordan has a distinguished medical reputation, in terms of health and nursing human cadres, infrastructure, treatment plans and specialized and advanced surgeries, stressing the need for continued communication between the two sides in all sectors, especially in the fields of health. and nursing.
During the delegation's visit to private hospitals, the head of the Private Hospitals Association, Dr. Fawzi Al-Hamouri, affirmed the association's readiness to cooperate and strengthen relations with the region and transfer its experience to the region to raise the level of health services in it.
The guest delegation visited the Nursing Council, the University of Jordan, the University of Jordan Hospital, the King Hussein Cancer Center, the Specialty Hospital and Abdali Hospital, in addition to the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission.
