Simulation Center

The center Services

Jordanian Nursing Council Simulation Center  was initiated on 2021 as a simulation Center to provide  students and Practitioners  a hands on practice during their learning period. The JNC Simulation Center  was established in its current shape to include 2 main units:1-  Life Support unit, 2- Simulation unit, which make it more comprehensive in providing the up to date and evidence based training experiences on different levels (Cognitive, Psychomotor and affective).

Simulation center has a plan to provide a wide variety of trainings to students, residents, physicians, nurses and allied health of Arabic regional area to improve their clinical performance toward the patients in a safe environment.

CSSC resources vary from simple simulation tools going through task trainers, low to high fidelity simulators, with customized audio-visual system to help in control, record and review the sim based sessions for debriefing, and to provide statistical data for reports, improvement plan and researches as well.

The infrastructure shows:

  1.  6 rooms for OSCE Examination well prepared for any  medical or Nursing exam and connected to audiovisual system  ( SMOT System ).
  2. 2 medium fidelity Adult manikin.
  3. 2 Medium Fidelity Pediatric Manikin.
  4. 2 Medium Fidelity Infant Manikin.
  5. 3 rooms prepared with high fidelity manikin used for training and simulate the real patients ,  the rooms prepared to simulate the real environment in the hospital.
  6.  Adult Sim : Sim Man.
  7. OB / GYN Sim : Sim Mom.
  8. Pediatric Sim : Sim BABy.
  9.  AHA Training Room : Mega Kylle.
  10. 2 Control Rooms Connected with the audiovisual System Controlling the high fidelity manikin.

Goals

The following CSSC goals were developed to help in achieving the center mission:

Establish close collaboration with the Phase, Block and Subject coordinators/representatives.

Ensure that the quality of teaching/learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and research in nursing and medical education match the international standards and best practices nurtured in prestigious universities.

Commitment to continuous quality education improvement through longitudinal monitoring both of the learners and of the educational courses/programs.

Establish links at national and international levels with reliable and credible partners.

Emphasize on professional values and competencies in medicine by using the evidence-based educational principles and processes: Evidence-based education supports evidence-based clinical practice.

Design staff and student training programs and ensuring a state-of-art organization and delivery of those programs.

Develop a motivating, empowering and safe learning environment for both students and teachers.

Address institutional and the center’s concern (from key stakeholders) about the necessary improvements and update the center’s capability to deliver state-of-the-art technology with regards to training, teaching and learning.

Why we used simulation in our training

Simulation-based training places Practitioners in situations where they can put their knowledge into practice. In healthcare, simulation training has been part of curricula since the 18th century; it has been continually evolving as technology advances.

Recent researches talking about that simulation has proven to be an effective innovative methodology that arrives at the right time to solve new constraints developing in our traditional clinical environment, in addition to that standardized high quality clinical; experience can guaranteed.

Here in JNC  following our mission and vision we not following the traditional way of training , we make it advance by using deliberate practice using High- fidelity , low fidelity and  hybrid simulation to achieving the best practice.

Benefits of using simulation training

  1. No harm , No Foul ( Allows learners to make mistakes without any risk to harm the patient).
  2. Safety first ( Provide safety for learners in otherwise dangerous  environment ).
  3. Repetition ( learners can repeats any experience as many times as they want or need , deliberate practice ).
  4. Gather and measure data ( it is relatively easy to monitor learner performance and generate performance data ).

So, this is make us the leaders in the healthcare Professional training, achieving the excellence in our courses and workshops.
