News of the University of Jordan (AJA) Heba Al-Kayed - The President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nazir Obeidat, received in his office today a delegation from the Kurdistan region of Iraq, headed by the President of the Health Professions Syndicate in Kurdistan, Dr. Jabbar Rahim, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Jordanian Nursing Council, Dr. Hani Al-Nawafleh and the Vice President of the University For Quality Affairs, Dr. Enaam Khalaf, Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Areej Othman, and the accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed the possibility of bridging a number of students of health and scientific faculties in Kurdistan at the University of Jordan to develop their skills and scientific expertise in this field, in addition to the possibility of establishing a branch of the Faculty of Nursing and a number of postgraduate programs related to medical specialties in the Kurdistan region, and they agreed to frame cooperation later through an agreement They are jointly involved in the issue of bridging in a way that does not contradict the regulations and instructions in force on both sides, and conducting a deep study of all aspects concerned with the idea of establishing a new branch of Jordanian in Kurdistan. During the meeting, Obeidat affirmed UJ's constant keenness to enhance ways of cooperation with brotherly countries in the field of education, to transfer the educational experience of the university to students of knowledge wherever they are, and to exchange experiences that would enhance the status of science and raise its status, and facilitate the process of its development and keeping pace with the accelerating modern technology. . Rahim spoke about the great vital role played by the University of Jordan in developing the nursing profession in Jordan, expressing his happiness with this cooperation, through which the students will achieve great benefit in the field of nursing and others, so that they can return to their homeland armed, qualified and trained, capable of advancing their country in this sector. In turn, Al-Nawafleh pointed out the importance of activating cooperation frameworks in the field of nursing with the aim of developing cadres of health professions, indicating that a forum will soon be held for all sectors related to this field, to agree on a number of scenarios that would upgrade those cadres and contribute to the success of such cooperation.
